GO SEE IT
I went to see the movie fireproof tonight with friends i hold near and dear and it really was an amazing movie.
http://fireproofmymarriage.com/ is the site related to the movie
the long short of it is that i looked back on my past serious relationships and I see where this (can be/should have been) applied very simply. I personally think that no matter where you are in your relationship this movie can really give you an understanding and a second look into what love is. and those of you that know me also know of an older book series called “the five love languages” that i used to tell everyone about because i love that one too.
the hardest part of watching this movie was the way it tore my heart apart to see what she and him both had going on – and without the love of God as the foundation of thier relationship how badly it went. But everyone should know there is hope =-) God can show you this love – and all you ahve to do is ask.
and after tonight – i finally know what i want to write as the last part of a song i started working on earlier this week.
and thanks for the invite
here’s something that helps me stay motivated through the day.
Pressing on Toward the Goal Phil 3 (NIV)
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
So basically in what you’re doing at your day to day job – you’re pressing on towards God’s ultimate plan for you. I like to consider everything we’re doing here on earth as part of His plan – which is a founding factor in everything I want to do – hard sometimes – especially when you don’t see a reason to motivate yourself.
