working hard and not giving up

Posted by: dan.horning   in Personal Journal

There are just some things in life that are worth the end result, no matter how hard the road is. i want to write something that’s all cool and sweet – but here’s the deal – it’s hard as hell and you’re going to want to give up every moment of the way. I find in life that I have lived by this, sometimes without really knowing everything I’d sacrifice … … through a lost engagement, early stages of business including every dumb mistake, and not really having anyone to turn to. But even with all this – somehow i find a way to press on… wanna know why – ask me. Even finding this to be true in some of the most unlikely places – even online gaming in a “guild” of some friends that through playing a game have become good friends and people that even through you may never see in person – they all truly care and are there for each other many moments. So keep pressing towards your goals – you can’t succeed if you give up every time you fail.

This has been something that has molded me personally for many many years, and I hope to help you as the reader to see the value and need for something just this simple. so it’s not the failure or the loss that makes you better – it’s the moving forward and taking different approaches to win the prize that really makes it all worth while. My source may be obvious for all of this – or maybe not. Find the inner voice that allows you to press on through the storms and keep your spirit alive and excited. this is only half the real battle, hopefully you realize when you need to take a new approach – there isn’t any shame to it.

If you’re looking for answers, just ask… it’s funny and sometimes ironic how you’ll get the answer you’re looking for.
